ACCIDENT BENEFITS

Accident Benefit Lawyers in Ontario

If you’ve been injured in any motor vehicle accident, you’re entitled to benefits — and we’re here to make sure you receive them.

After a car accident, motorcycle accident, or pedestrian collision, one of the first things you’re eligible for in Ontario is Accident Benefits (AB). These benefits are available regardless of who caused the accident, and they are meant to support your medical recovery, income, and daily living needs.

But the reality is this:
Insurance companies often delay, deny, or limit benefits, especially when injuries are not immediately visible or easily understood.

At Asaad Law, we guide you through the entire Accident Benefits process from start to finish. We deal with the insurance company, complete the forms, coordinate assessments, challenge denials, and ensure you receive the full support you’re entitled to.

What Are Accident Benefits?

Accident Benefits (also known as SABS benefits) are mandatory benefits available through your auto insurance after an accident. They cover a wide range of supports, including medical treatment, income support, and home assistance.

These benefits apply to:

  • Drivers

  • Passengers

  • Pedestrians

  • Cyclists

  • Motorcyclists

  • Individuals in hit-and-run or uninsured accidents

If you were injured in any motor vehicle accident, you qualify for Accident Benefits.

Types of Accident Benefits You May Be Entitled To

We help you access and manage every available benefit, including:

1. Medical and Rehabilitation Benefits

Covers treatment such as:

  • Physiotherapy

  • Chiropractic care

  • Massage therapy

  • Psychology and counselling

  • Occupational therapy

  • Assistive devices (braces, supports, TENS units)

  • Medications

  • In-home treatment

Depending on your injury classification, you may be entitled to:

  • $3,500 (MIG – Minor Injury Guideline)

  • $65,000 (Non-MIG – non-minor injuries)

  • $1,000,000 (CAT – Catastrophic Impairment)

We gather the evidence needed to move you out of the MIG and secure higher funding.

2. Income Replacement Benefit (IRB)

If you can’t work because of your injuries, you may qualify for:

  • 70% of your gross income, up to $400/week (or more if you purchased optional benefits)

We help prove your inability to work, gather medical support, and challenge unfair suspensions.
